New Tram Travel Card
In an ongoing effort to promote the tram network in Santa Cruz, the capital is introducing a brand new 24-hour travel card.
A decision has not been reached as to whether the travel card will be in permanent circulation or if it will just be a one off special deal. So far it’s just in the trial stages. People are able to purchase the travel card from various kiosks and shops throughout the city for €4.50 and begin using it straight away.
The card is valid for all of the tram lines for a period of 24 hours from the initial purchase time. Travellers using the card can hop on and off as many trams as they like during the timeframe.
The 24 hour travel card is only one of many innovations Santa Cruz is introducing to encourage residents and visitors to take advantage of the tram networks and the surrounding shops and businesses along the routes.
A new tram price list and discount cards are also expected to be introduced later this month.
