Tenerife will Host 2012 Canary Soccer Cup
Sports Councillors – Marcos González and Julián Martín met with the organisers of the event to sign the agreement for this international event to be held in June.
Sr González explained that the Canary Soccer Cup is a major championship event which is sure to bring over 800 athletes from all different parts of the world to Tenerife.
The Canary Cup 2012 will take place between June 20th and June 24th across Granadilla, El Médano, Charco del Pino, San Isidro, San Miguel, Las Zocas and Guargacho.
There will be many categories making up the event, including several youth categories – from prebenjamin to cadet.
The opening ceremony will be held in San Miguel and the closing ceremony will take place in Granadilla.
Local officials are thrilled that the Canary Soccer Cup committee chose Tenerife to host this year’s event and they think it will provide a great opportunity for the locals to enjoy the sport and for the participants to meet other players from around the world.
