Hotel Tigaiga Goes Digital
The hotel’s breath-takingly beautiful botanical gardens can now be appreciated and explored online at www.tigaiga.com by anyone, any time, anywhere in the world.
Hotel Tigaiga is surrounded by 5,000 square metres of gorgeous gardens made up of plant species from all over the world. When the owners were unveiling the latest digital garden update, they were keen to point out that the best way to fully enjoy the gardens is to, of course, visit them in person.
The digital advancement is just one step in a huge plan to fully modernise Hotel Tigaiga. Instead of using the paper guides to discover the hidden wonders of the garden, like guests have done for years, visitors will now be loaned an iPad through which they can access all the information about the gardens.
Not only is the use of technology a step forward for the hotel, it’s also an environmentally-friendly way of providing necessary information. There will be no paper wasted because all the details will be available electronically.
According to the family-run hotel’s luxury guest of honour and family friend – the Professor of Botany at La Laguna University – the gardens of Hotel Tigaiga “beat the Botanical Garden in Puerto de la Cruz hands down”.
