Fast and Furious in Tenerife
Vin Deisel and his team are planning on visiting Tenerife to film many scenes for his latest film in the saga: Fast and Furious 6.
The new film is said to be the most ‘explosive’ yet and will see Vin accompanied by Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez. Rumours are circulating that pop sensation Rihanna might even have a role in the film, too.
Justin Lin is the director of the film and most of the scenes will be shot Santa Cruz, Puerto de la Cruz and various coastal areas throughout the island.
When asked why Tenerife was chosen for the filming location, Universal Studios frankly said that they were keen to take advantage of the island’s tax incentives.
Tenerife regularly attracts film producers who are eager to shoot scenes for upcoming blockbusters. The island’s dramatic scenery most famously featured in Clash of the Titans, Star Wars: Episode 3 and Planet of the Apes.
