Following the success of the previous Tenerife Champions Cup, held in October 2009 at Siam Park and Fañabe Beach, the 2010 Cup is eagerly anticipated.
The 2009 tournament attracted worldwide coverage which resulted in millions of Euros of publicity for Tenerife. Over the Christmas and New Year period, two Spanish television networks ran highlights of the tournament as part of their round-up of the sporting year, which attracted a further 150,000 viewers and 2 million visitors online.
The 2010 International Tournament is on 8th - 10th October at Siam Park's arena. Sponsors of the event include Tenerife Tourism, Schweppes and Iberia. As well as the Championship event which will include some spectacular, world class volleyball, there will also be supporting challenges throughout the competition, plus exhibition matches and music from top DJs.
Last year Spain was narrowly beaten by the Netherlands in the final, but the team is committed to taking home the title in 2010.
The great news is that admission to the event is free! On arrival at Siam Park, make your way to the side of the water park, where you will find the entrance to the arena.
