Playa San Juan

Playa San Juan has undergone a great deal of development in recent years but it still retains its ‘Canarian charm' and is indeed an unspoilt little gem.
This small town has a working harbour where you can see the small fishing boats going out in the morning and coming back with their catch, which they sell from the boats to the tourists and locals. There is a little church and a village square and twice a week there is a local market.
San Juan has 2 beaches, the first is a small shallow cove which is ideal for families with children and the second a long recently developed sandy beach. The water is extremely clear and Playa San Juan is very popular with divers.
The Promenade runs the length of the village and there are a few small shops and restaurants serving traditional and international food. Fresh fish is always available daily.
Playa San Juan enjoys stunning sea views and beautiful sunsets towards the island of La Gomera.
San Juan is the perfect base for a peaceful holiday but not too far away for a glitzy night out at the livelier resorts of Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos. Just 4 km from the town there is also the stunning new 27 hole premier golf course ‘Abama'.
The amazing Cliffs of Los Gigantes are a short drive to the west, where you can take a boat for a whale and dolphin safari or book a trip to the stunning Masca Gorge.
Transfer time from the airport to Playa San Juan is approximately 35 minutes.
