A magical "winter wonderland" will be arriving at the Auditorium in Santa Cruz in April 2010. Russia's most famous clown, Slava Polunin and his ensemble will be captivating family audiences with his world famous "Snow Show".
The production skilfully combines theatrical, comical clowning with a stunning spectacle of breathtaking images. This extravaganza includes clever cobwebs, beautiful bubbles and dazzling special effects with dry ice. Prepare to be astounded as a bed is magically transformed into a boat and a tiny piece of paper gathers momentum to become a blizzard-like snowstorm of sparkling snowflakes.
Slava's "Snow Show" has played to great success in London, across North America, and in 25 countries around the world. This exquisite performance has won a prestigious Olivier Award for "Best Entertainment" as well as The Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience. Actor Simon Callow said: "This is the single most beautiful thing I have ever seen in a theatre in my life."
Performances are scheduled for 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th April and tickets are priced between 19 and 37 euro.
