Siam Park Update!

Over the past few months, progress on the magnificent Siam Park has come on in leaps and bounds. All major building work has now been completed - all that remain are the finishing touches, including further planting of abundant foliage that will engulf the park in an authentic jungle atmosphere, transportation of the animals that will soon make their new home here and the completion of the pathways by which visitors will navigate their way around.
In a month's time, the Californian sea lions currently living in Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz will be ready to make their way to Siam Park. Also over the next few weeks, baby alligators will make their journey from Bush Gardens in Florida to their new home in the Tenerife Water Kingdom. Two weeks ago, staff from Siam Park took a trip to the USA to view the alligators' current living environment in Bush Gardens - and were satisfied that they will be providing conditions of an equally high standard in Tenerife.
All of Siam Park's innovative and spectacular rides are now filled with water and have been thoroughly tested. In fact, the owner of the park and his father - who owns Loro Parque - were the very first people to take the plunge and test the adrenalin-fuelled Tower of Power, which plummets into a huge aquarium soon to be alive with 13,000 fish and alligators. Watch out for the Jungle Snake - this covered ride received the most screams during test runs! The impressive Dragon, constructed entirely by hand, is now complete and proudly guards its giant gravity-defying drum, awaiting the first brave adventurers.
In anticipation of its grand unveiling in 5 or 6 weeks' time, Siam Park Water Kingdom has already opened its doors to a crowd of 1,000 travel agents from all over Spain and the Canary Islands. A special event on 11th April, which saw the Park aglow with soft lighting, included a surf competition, stilt walkers, a live band and grand finale fireworks display. The lucky visitors were treated to a sneak preview of the most ambitious and exciting water kingdom ever. Be sure to join the fun in May!

Hi there
Sorry that you were not able to visit Siam Park during your holiday. There certainly was a long delay in opening the park but I am pleased to say it is now open, to great reviews! Do come back in the future, you won't be disappointed!
