London showcases Tenerife Cuisine

The gastronomic delights of Canarian cuisine were recently showcased in a food event called "A taste of Spain", launched by the Spanish office of tourism in London in conjunction with the Cabildo through Tourism of Tenerife.
The event held at a central London market, which has become one of the busiest tourist destinations in the Capital, was a platform for the cosmopolitan London community to taste (if they haven't done already) the different products Tenerife has to offer.
An estimated 10,000 people sampled the delights of Canarian Potatoes with Mojo, various cheeses unique to Tenerife, local honey and sauces and a selection of locally produced wines.
"A taste of Spain" has enabled various communities to present their cuisine to London both through the market and also with the cooperation of many Regent Street shops that have in the spirit of things, have been offering tastings in their own establishments.
The cuisine of the Canary Islands is becoming increasingly popular in the UK with many supermarkets and delicatessens carrying our most popular products such as Mojo sauce, Gofio flour and various Canarian meringues and biscuits.
