Verdant Valleys of the North
When the moisture laden clouds sweep in on the northerly winds they are faced with the awesome Mount Teide and have to dump the water in order to make it over its soaring peak.
This precipitation ensures that the north of Tenerife gets enough water in the ground to feed the rich abundance of vegetation that abounds in this region.
