Teppanyaki
Teppanyaki is based in the new and very very stylish Safari centre in Las Américas, the location is quite perfect for this top quality Japanese restaurant.
Simple, classical colours are muted and soothing; wooden tables with a perfectly understated tablecloth. Chopsticks of course are at every setting and they have come up with something particularly brilliant, "beginner chopsticks" made in the restaurant, and designed for those of us who are still at the fumbling stage when it comes to manoeuvring these eating instruments!
The best place to sit is the large open square table in the centre of the restaurant, seating about 20, with a large hot plate on each side where the food is prepared by your friendly chef right in front of you, taking you through each stage of the preparation.
This is somewhere for a romantic meal for two or four or six, a great place to bring your mates, your folks or even the kids.
