Teppanyaki is based in the very stylish Safari centre in Las Américas, the perfect location for this top quality Japanese restaurant.
Simple, classical colours are muted and soothing; wooden tables with smart, stylish tablecloths. Chopsticks of course are at every setting and the restaurant has come up with something particularly brilliant - "beginner chopsticks" made in-house, and designed for those of us who are still at the fumbling stage when it comes to manipulating these eating instruments.
The best place to sit is the large open square table in the centre of the restaurant, seating about 20 people, with a large hot plate on each side where the food is prepared right in front of you by your friendly chef, taking you through each stage of the preparation.
