The Sunny South
Due in part to the deforestation of the hills above the southern plateaux this part of the island enjoys superb year round weather.
This factor is combined with the fact that the mountains protect the south from the rain laden northerly winds leaving it to the warming attentions of the gulf stream and the hot south easterlies from the Sahara.
