San Agustin
San Agustín is the oldest tourist resort in the south, and it has still managed to maintain some of it's character. There are a couple of small beaches with dark, volcanic sand, and is more peaceful than the nearby beach in Playa del Inglés. San Agustín is the perfect tourist resort for those that want to have a nice, quiet holiday.
Sioux City is a western style city located in Playa de Aguíla near San Agustín. It was built in the 1970s for the making of the western movie "Fist full of dollars". Later the set was made into a theme park. Every day there are many different shows here, and on fridays there is a barbeque night.
Casino Palace lies in the Hotel Tamarindos in San Agustín. The Casino has all kinds of facilities, including bar and restaurant. It is open from 21.00 til 04.00 every night. Jacket and tie are obligatory.
