Los Cristianos

Without doubt one of the most popular resorts in the Canary Islands, Los Cristianos is situated just 15 km's west of the southern airport Reina Sofia.
With the wonderful harbour as its focal point, the town has managed to retain some of the architecture and character of its original incarnation as a sleepy fishing village.
The artificial beaches are gorgeous and there are plenty of excursions running from the harbour area, such as fishing trips, pleasure cruises, glass bottomed boats, diving excursions and ferries to La Gomera.
For those of you seeking entertainment after a sun soaked day on the beach or round the pool then Los Cristianos should certainly have something to your liking. With a vast array of pubs, clubs, restaurants and bars the town's boisterous nightlife caters for a mature, family clientele.
Los Cristianos is also ideally situated for exploring the island with its close proximity to the motorway. Also the Aqua Park and Tenerife Zoo are both in very easy reach of the town and are wonderful days out for the whole family. Los Cristianos is a town you will never want to leave.

We saw the comments on here about Amigos bar on the sea front and went looking for it. It's true the food is nearly all home cooked kind of stuff like steak pie and lasagne served by really friendly staff, we actually felt like old friends within minutes. They have great music at night a guitarist and singer called Simon May, who they say is Brian May's Son, but I think thats just a rumour. He is probably one of the best rock guitar players I have ever seen though. Try the Thai sweet chilli burger, I fell in love with them and had so many it became a joke with the staff there. We stayed at a bed and breakfast hotel, Princess Dacil but decided to try Amigos for there breakfast one day and it was perfect and served on a hot plate soemthing you don't always get, they even serve the bake beans in little dishes so that you can put them on the toast if you want. They even supply morning papers to read. That day we didn't get to the beach until after mid day it took so long to get away from amigos. Please try them you will love them.

Hi all i have been visiting los cristanos for over ten years with my wife and kids , we tend to stay at the apartment Revron which is ok there are loads of bars the best bar for food and sport is Amigos on the beach front near Chicagos.(which i would not recomend)Anyway back to amigos the owners have just changed and the new manager paul does his upmost to keep everyone happy and all the staff are friendly and helpfull. For the evening we go to a few different bars but we do like the irsh times they have a very good band on and again the staff are helpfull. there are a number of bars but the worst of the bunch are as follows The Phonix, smells a bit and the staff are always drunk.Thens theres Chicrgos the staff are very rude, anyway i hope this helps.
