The roots of Indian Riding are founded by early American Indians and nomads in Mongolia. They mastered riding in harmony with the horse so perfectly that only a halter was needed to guide and control the animal.

We ride in comfortable western saddles, with only a light rope halter or a neck ring and without any other aids such as lash, spurs, snaffle etc.
Indian riding is based on a compassionate understanding and handling of the horse. Knowing the behaviour pattern of horses and drawing a clear and consistent line forms the base of handling the horse.
Due to this knowledge, real communication and understanding is possible between rider and horse. Therefore great success can also be achieved with "difficult" horses. Real horsemanship can only be mastered with a close relationship, mutual respect and confidence between horse and rider.
