Amarilla Golf and Country Club
Just bordering the sea on the southern coast of Tenerife lies the Amarilla Golf and Country Club.
This eighteen-hole course enjoys the incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean, which inspired the golf architect David Steel.
Surrounded as it is by barrancos and residential developments the course provides a stern challenge for the professional golfer, while at the same time offering an attractive and enjoyable game for those of a more modest ability.
This challenging aspect was noted when the course was inaugurated in 1989, and it consequently hosted the second part of the Tenerife Open which is part of the famous European PGA Tour.
