From the beginning of March, visitors to the capital of Tenerife will have the opportunity to enjoy new tours around the city.
The initiative is part of a campaign to focus more on Santa Cruz and the north of Tenerife in general. The north of the island has much to offer, including museums, art galleries, restaurants, historic architecture and many traditions.
The launch was attended by the Tourism Chief and Vice President of the Tenerife, Cabildo José Manuel Bermúdez, the manager of the Titsa Bus company, Juan Carles Pérez Frías and president of City Sightseeing, Enrique Ibarra.
The city tours will be held on five double decker buses which will operate every day of the year, mornings and afternoons. Meetings are currently being held with the operator to finalise the exact route, however current plans state that the entire route will take 45 minutes and will cover 14 stops.
Organisers have promised that the price will be affordable for all and there will be special discounts for residents, large families and children.
The city's tourism guide has also received a major update and will be available in a handy pocket size in English, Spanish and German. The new guides contain updated information about the capital and 25,000 will be printed, with extras being distributed to all the major tourism fairs in Europe.
