This new year-round event aims to introduce visitors to Tenerife to the wide array of flavours available throughout the island, such as sweet potato, trout, figs, chocolates and spiced biscuits to name a few.
Many organisations are backing the event and offering financial support, including: Tourism of Tenerife and Tenerife Rural Foundation. There is also a large number of businesses showing a great interest in Delicatesen Tenerife 2012 - such as several wine cellars, markets and adventure groups - and offering anything they can do to help.
Various performance groups have also offered their services in support of the new event, which means that shows may well be incorporated into Delicatesen Tenerife 2012 in the near future.
The initiative combines various guided walks throughout breath-takingly beautiful areas from Garachico and Santiago del Teide to Los Silos and Teno Alto.
The first trip begins on Sunday February 5th and is centred on almonds.
