It’s All Happening at the Abama

The Abama is "where it's all happening" at the moment. The on-site art gallery at this acclaimed Golf and Spa Resort is the location for the latest exhibition by Tenerife artist María Jesus Pérez Vilar, entitled Miradas y Lugares - Donde todo sucede (‘Views and Places - Where it all happens').
The 32 paintings in the collection focus strongly on the elements of light and shade, landscapes, dawns and night. They depict various scenes with fruit and birds, suggesting a ‘paradise found' which may be on the verge of being lost. The artist explained that his selected works on show were carefully chosen to reflect the inspiration and motivation behind the artistic creations.
María Jesus Pérez Vilar studied at the University of La Laguna and is a member of the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Fernándo in Madrid. With an already busy schedule, he still finds time to conduct painting workshops in Tenerife's capital, Santa Cruz.
The Abama art gallery is part of the resort complex and is open every day of the week from 8am to 11pm. The Miradas y lugares exhibition is on until 23rd September.
