For six months, Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz has been the TV studio for a long-running German TV series, which will appear on air for the first time on Tuesday the 7th of September in the evening.
The show, which will feature daily on Germany's most popular TV station, will reveal the daily lives on the different animals in the park. The stars of the show will be the animals, so the resident biologists, veterinarians and keepers will have to be happy with supporting roles.
Unfortunately, the TV show will not appear on any Spanish or English channel, but residents are assured that the programme really does show Tenerife at its sunniest and most colourful, which should attract more German families to the island.
In total, 40 one-hour episodes in high definition have been recorded with the best quality technology available to guarantee the success of the grand project. A spokesman for the production company said, "We have captured first-hand the beauty and majesty of the park, and the different activities that are operational every day. We have combined these stories with the island's landscapes, and its outstanding eco-systems and natural parks. We have also emphasised the privileged climate enjoyed by the animals and people involved".
