On September the 3rd, the Guimerá theatre will host its first performance after being closed since March 2009 for extensive renovations. The first production, "Por el Placer de Volver" will feature on the 3rd and 4th of September, with ticket prices ranging from 15 to 25 euros.
The Santa Cruz Independent Body Culture (OAC), alongside Maribel Oñnate, is encouraging those interested to obtain a free "Friends of Guimerá" card, which will entitle them to many advantages, such as a 20% discount on regular tickets during this season. Certain age ranges and groups are also given discount; there is a 15% discount for those over 65 and those retired, a youth card for those who already have a "joven euro" card or are between the ages of 26 and 30, and a discount will be given to groups of 14 or more people with reduced mobility. Cards can be acquired through providing personal data at the box office of the theatre, directly from the OAC, or through the website www.teatroguimera.es which will be fully operational very shortly.
