Improvements to the Adeje area of Tenerife

The financing of work to improve the Adeje area of Tenerife has finally been approved.
This important area is to be re modelled and the over all cost will exceed 3.2 million Euros.
Richard Melchior and José Miguel Rodriguez Fraga signed the agreement recently.
Work has been subsidised by the Canarian government with 1,153,000 Euros. The Cabildo and the town hall will make up the shortfall themselves
The town hall will be in charge of implementing the work which will include the refurbishment of the avenue of the V Centenerio, just one of the 77 projects planned as part of the Adeje regeneration.
The period for the project is ongoing from the 2007 start to the estimated completion in 2010 the main aim is to achieve a high quality destination for tourists by engaging projects to improve facilities, landscape, pavements, access for tourists and also to restructure commerce in the Adeje area.
The project which is an ongoing part of the rejuvenation of popular resident and tourist areas in Tenerife will benefit the area by making it a more desirable place to live, work and to visit.
