The ideal candidate for this position will be a native English speaker educated to degree level or similar and will be highly literate with a flair for producing strong, publishable copy of the very highest standard.
The candidate will be naturally adaptable and able to write for both print and web based media in a variety of styles and will be aware of SEO best practice. They will also need to be able to work under pressure to meet department deadlines.
The candidate will possess excellent research skills and will be able to work both independently and as part of the wider team to ensure that all content is:
- Clear, comprehensive, accurate and relevant
- Appropriate to the reader
- Proportionate to the subject matter
- Of a publishable quality
- Current and complete
A high degree of computer literacy is required although the successful candidate will receive full training with regard to the in-house publishing system.
