One place definitely worth visiting before the official celebrations begin, is the Teatro Cine Victor located in heart of the capital.
This stunning venue with its beautiful facade was built by the architect José Enrique Marreri Regalado, who is widely regarded as the founder of theatre design in Tenerife. The building is big enough to hold 550 people in the lower section and 225 in the upper section.
Cine Victor was inaugurated in April 1954 with the screening of the British musical ‘The Tales of Hoffman', directed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger.
This month, to celebrate the build-up to the brilliant Santa Cruz carnival, the Teatro Cine will be hosting a ‘Festival del Carnival', which will feature exciting shows by various entertaining groups, including Cariocas, La Traviata, Mamelucos, Hechizadas, Ni Pico Ni Corto and Mamelones.
