The third edition of this sports event will take place on April 9th and begin at 5.30pm from the harbour in Puerto de la Cruz.
The contest features a 10km race which must be completed in less than two hours and includes 15 obstacles which must be overcome. Additional obstacles incorporate a distance swim in the harbour, road sprinting, a run along the Martiánez beach and a trek through the rough terrain of the San Felipe barranco.
The event was held for the first time in 2008, with the assistance of Grupo Hara y del Club Deportivo Canarypol, with the aim of creating an outstanding and unique event in the Canary Islands where athletes could show off their skills whilst entertaining the general public at the same time.
This year, BMX, motocross, climbing, graffiti, skateboarding, live music and children's activities will compliment the leisure and sports event, which has become a huge success with full media coverage, revitalising the area and promoting Puerto de la Cruz as a desirable tourist destination.
