Walking in Tenerife
Whether you are a hardcore hiker or a gentle promenader, Tenerife has an abundance of wonderful walks and spectacular scenery. Peruse our guide to some of the more popular walks on the island.
Baranco del Infierno
This is a walk for those of medium mobility. Winding along the baranco’s (valley) floor, this hike is a round trip of about two hours and culminates at the base of a marvellous waterfall.
Los Cristianos to Las Americas Coastal Walk
Recent years have seen a vast improvement in Tenerife’s pavements and roads and it is now possible to walk along the beach front promenade all the way from Los Cristianos to Las Americas.
This picturesque walk is completely flat so is ideal for those with restricted mobility and can easily be negotiated by wheelchairs and electric buggies.
